Community Outreach

The CSSC's activity was focused on CAG follow up monitoring & evaluation:  

Nash Dom by Public Center Enthusiast in Dubovka Village and Women Club Podrugi in 

Temirtau Town were successfully completed achieving the projects objectives.  

On April 14, the CSSC held the NGO roundtable on the draft law On NGOs and collected 26 

signatures of local public organizations.

Activity Overview  

The Hub Office conducted a training seminar on Strategic Planning and Financial Sustainability for 

12 members of governing bodies of CSSCs of Talas, Kara Balta, Naryn, Karakol and Kant, and focus 

NGOs Bayastan and BCSI in Issyk Kul on April 27 29. The same seminar for 13 members of 

governing bodies of CSSCs of Kerben, Jalalabad, Osh, Nookat and Batken, as well as the focus NGO 

Chintamani was held in Jalalabad on May 28 30. 

Within the framework of the new TACIS funded project Promoting Entrepreneurship at a Grass root 

Level, the DCCA program staff has delivered a training seminar for 10 people from the CSSCs of 

Kara Balta and Nookat on June 3 4, consisting of 4 modules: (1) Introduction in what is SHG, 

membership criteria, etc., (2) Savings and loans, (3) Filing System in SHGs, and (4) Rotation of
